About Drywall Repair Tools
Plain, practical help for fixing drywall yourself, with an honest list of the tools each repair needs.
What we do
Most drywall damage is a small job: a doorknob hole, a crack over a door, some nail pops, a water stain on the ceiling. The hard part is knowing which method fits and what to buy. Hardware store aisles are full of tools you'll use once.
Every guide on this site starts with the method that suits the damage, then lists only the tools and materials that method needs, with typical prices. The Repair Finder does the same in three questions.
What we don't do
- We don't sell repairs or take leads for contractors.
- We don't publish "tested" claims for products we haven't used. Product picks are labeled as popular options, and each guide explains what to look for so you can judge any brand on the shelf.
- We don't publish sponsored content.
How the site is funded
Some guides link to products on Amazon, and we may earn a commission on purchases made through those links. They're labeled on the page and don't change the repair advice. Read the disclosure for details.
